5 Outreach Email Templates for Connecting With Brands: #1 You're an original lover of the brand and you want to introduce yourself

We put together five different email templates to help you get in touch with the brands you love. Try this template if you're an original lover of a brand and you want to introduce yourself.

Sometimes, you just want to introduce yourself to a brand to get to know them. This is a valid reason to reach out! Never hesitate to let a brand know you love their work. Here, you're not necessarily looking for a paid partnership. You just want to let them know you're a fan, and that you're open to any kind of collaboration that they might be interested in.

In this example, Sheila, a lifestyle and travel blogger, contacts Nadia, Head of Marketing and Communication at a sustainable beauty and skincare brand based in San Francisco.

Hello [Nadia],

My name is [Sheila], and I’m a [lifestyle and travel writer] and a beauty addict. I wanted to introduce myself to you as I’ve been using your skincare products for [5 years] now, and I’m a genuine admirer of your brand’s story and ethics.

I’m active on [Instagram and Pinterest]. My follower community is very friendly and engaged, and loves to discover new products and the stories behind them. I’m sharing relevant data in my media kit should you want to take a glimpse at my work.

I would love to set up a phone call to get to know the brand more. I'm certain it would give me great inspiration for my content!

This email hits several important points:
- It’s addressed to the person in charge of dealing with partnerships, influencer marketing, or and/or communications. You want to make sure you contact the right brand representative to maximize your chances of getting a reply.
- It puts the brand first, and isn’t only about you! It positions you as a creator (a writer in this example) in addition to being an influencer.
- Finally, the message doesn’t feel too transactional and can initiate natural conversation.

Use this template to draft your outreach. Swap out the specific details with your own information, and insert direct links to your social media channels/blog. You're good to go!
